Saturday in Charleston

My parents and I came over to Charleston for the weekend after apartment hunting in Savannah for me yesterday.  Here are some pictures of my Saturday here.  I'm sure tomorrow, there will be tons more since we will be doing a lot more!

Petrified Trees in the Marsh on the way from Savannah:

Angel Oak - 1500 year old tree! Wikipedia it!

Marina of Boats

Church on Church St.

Daughters of the Confederacy Building

Hyman's Seafood - Amazing.  We ate at a table that Patti Labelle ate at.

More tomorrow after the sightseeing!

It's Love!

I literally stumbled across this amazing site!
I am in love.
If you use Adobe Photoshop, you will be too!

Rita, owner of The Coffee Shop is my new hero.
She created tons of "actions" for photos that add all sorts of loveliness to them! Here is some examples I downloaded and used.

Before

After: Coffeeshop Moody Pop B/W

Before

After: Butterscotch Vintage (with some tweaking!)

Before

After: Cross Processing (with tweaking)

Make sure you check out her site!

My heart!

My sweet baby nephew and my sister.
Adorable.

I haven't seen him since May 6th and I finally saw him today.
Of course I took the opportunity to photograph them.

This is his popeye look! :]

****
Also went to Sarah's sister-in-lawAmanda's, house and saw some cute little animals.

This picture of Tilly, half shih tzu and yorkie, reminds me of those sad animal commercials that makes you want to adopt them.
The one with Sarah McLachlan singing.

Southern Belle Secrets

On Tumblr, I found this cute site that post "Southern Belle Secrets"
They have some adorable little quotes.

My favorite I found was this one:
You can see why its my favorite! :]
Here are some more cute ones that are sooo true! :]
I cannot tell you how many time my mother always said "Mind your manners!"

If you are truly from the south, you know this to be true!

I wasn't blessed with a brother by birth, but Justin, my brother in law  is the best brother ever.
I have known him since I was 10!
I'm 20 now so he has been there forever.

Especially on the coast. Goodness. I drink in the air in Savannah.

My family keeps Vera Bradley in Business.
Proof is below. Christmas one year.

True story. My mother is a feeder!
Hats, bags, car stickers. You name it, our monograms are there!

With hot rocks in their pockets.  This was a story of my father.

And your church more than likely has a committee for it!

What are your Southern Belle Secrets?
